Our goal is to support marginalized dog owners in the lower mainland and throughout BC with supplies and resources for their pets.

Our Spread the Love Project was developed in early 2022 after the pandemic highlighted a growing need for resources among marginalized pet owners within our communities. The Loveabull team recognized that access to food, supplies and temporary foster care were in demand and decided to take action to distribute aid throughout the province.

We have been truly fortunate to have supportive community partners helping us with our mission. Donations from Anipet, Homes Alive, RC Pets, Petvalu and Bosley’s stores in Murrayville, Ladner and Delta, have been instrumental in helping us to Spread the Love to pets and their owners across the lower mainland and beyond. The generosity of these companies has helped us to not only provide care for dogs, but also cats, rabbits, fish, and birds. We are humbled to have the opportunity to assist pets living in supportive housing units and SRO’s on the downtown eastside, and to share supplies with fellow rescue organizations and community outreach programs, including food banks.

Our amazing network of foster families has also been integral to the Spread the Love program, taking in dogs whose guardians may be going through housing transitions or legal processes. Foster homes provide these animals stability and give their owners peace of mind during challenging times.

Spread the Love foster care is helping dogs like Coco, whose owner is currently incarcerated.

And dogs like Levi, who needs a place to stay while his owner looks for pet-friendly housing.

Together we can make a difference for all pets and their owners. Please reach out to us if you recognize a need within your community. We would be happy to “Spread the Love” your way.
